This is an 8 hour hands-on virtual class, delivered during two, 4 hour web-based sessions. This is an eight-hour virtual class delivered in two four-hour increments over sequential days.  Scroll down for dates and times.

 

For the power user who is creating and maintaining web-based input templates (forms). Students create an operating expense template and define data storage options. Intermediate design concepts from predefined templates are explored and workflow options are introduced. 

 

Please note:

  • This class does not cover BI360 Planning (Excel) available in version 4.   BI360 Planning (Excel) training is available however, in a Solver Academy eLearning subscription.
  • If you are also responsible for reporting in your organization, please consider enrolling in the Report Design Essentials classes. 

After completing this course, students will be able to:

  • Create planning input forms
  • Define sheet filters and parameters
  • Define headers, columns, and rows
  • Create storage required for writeback
  • Establish optional comparative data
  • Test storage settings in both Excel and Solver Cloud
  • Assign a planning template to users

Audience:

  • New Solver customers or partners who will be creating planning forms
  • Existing Solver Power Users who have inherited existing planning templates and forms
  • Any Solver Power User who desires formal training on configuring, evolving, and maintaining their organization’s planning forms

Prerequisites:

  • Familiarity with the Report Designer is highly recommended but not required
  • Familiarity with accounting and finance concepts used to create financial reports
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Excel

Advance Preparation:

 IMPORTANT: Report Designer version 4 and version 5 cannot be installed on the same computer. If you are a version 4 customer, you must log into the classroom environment from an alternate computer. 

  • A computer with two monitors is needed for class.  One monitor to view the instructor and the second to complete the hands-on exercises.
  • A hands-free telephone or computer headset is required to interact with the instructor and classmates.  

PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of three students are required for class. If the minimum is not met two days prior to the starting session, class will be cancelled and a refund will be processed.
